I sat through a BBC undercover documentary last about how staff of a company which runs a detention centre and the in-country escorting contract abuse detainees.
The film showed asylum seekers being assaulted, racially abused and sexually humiliated by guards. Some people are saying that government policy is fuelling human rights abuses and miscarriages of justice.
The guards were enjoying and boasting about torturing other people. Is it in their nature?
